9 months without a cig, I can’t believe it. For the first time in over 40 years I’ve gone more than 3 or 4 months without a cigarette and I can tell the difference in myself.

Giving Up Smoking – 8 Months Tobacco Free
I’m a few days late with this update, but my no smoking conviction is still going strong. Eight months is another month away from being that smelly faghead I once was and that makes me feel brilliant. I got through the Christmas and New Year celebrations without being tempted to slide back and I honestly feel that this time I really have quit.

Giving Up Smoking – 7 Months Without A Cigarette – Merry Christmas
Christmas is coming and I’m feeling chuffed. Of all the times that I’ve tried to stop smoking over the years this has been my longest time without tobacco and I’m not wavering at all. That’s amazing for me and I really believe that this is my absolute final go at stopping smoking and with a method that I never truly expected to work.

Giving up Smoking – 6 Months Tobacco Free & I Feel Lousy!
I woke up this morning at 5.00 am feeling absolutely lousy. My throat was so sore I could barely swallow, my head was throbbing and I had earache. I started to cough and boy was that painful. I got up and took some paracetamels then curled back up into my warm bed.

I’m still in there – 5 months without a cigarette and it feels pretty good. I very rarely get that ‘must have a cigarette’ feeling and if I do it’s pull is much weaker than it was.

Giving Up Smoking – 4 Months Smoke Free
Blimey I never thought I would get this far so easily with stopping smoking and without murdering everybody around me. If I was a TV star I would say that I’ve had quite a journey, but the only time I’ve ever been on TV was as a 15 year old waving a hockey stick at Edward Heath when he came to open the local Conservative club so I won’t say that.

If anybody would have asked me 3 months ago if I thought that I could last so long without caving in and buying some cigarettes I would have said that it was very doubtful. I know myself all too well so I think that it is blooming amazing that even the temptation hasn’t been there.

Giving Up Smoking – 2 Months Tobacco Free
I can’t believe how quickly and easily the last 2 months have passed. It isn’t the first time that I’ve stopped smoking tobacco cigarettes but now I firmly believe that it will be the last time.

Giving Up Smoking 7 Weeks Smoke Free
Last weekend I went to stay at my daughters house for the first time since stopping smoking and caused a bit of consternation at the train station with my electronic cigarette.

I’ve had a really good week this week, but I’ve been on holiday from work and stress free which helps. I can’t believe how easy I’m finding giving up smoking this time round.
