Day 1

I was planning to post a update on my “Day 1″ achievement, but due to work committments which extended beyond my control I didn’t get to the computer to be able to publish a update on my first days progress.

Anyways, it was really strange when I woke up on Monday morning at 4:30am as I didn’t even think about lighting up. I just checked my emails as normal, had a cuppa as normal, got dressed and got in work about 5:45am.  The strange part was for that morning I didn’t even think I was a smoker, and I even had a few tucked away in a draw in case I needed them.

I was quite satisfied with my first day. I had a cigarette at 11am and then had a few puffs at 6pm. On a typical day I would of smoked around 25 and I cut it down to just one and a half.

I used my e-cigarette a couple of times but didn’t feel I depended on it. Even driving home from work and I always smoke whilst driving, I never even thought about lighting up.

For me, cravings are in your mind and you can easily change your mind to saying “This isi what I’m gonna day” and “This is not what I’m gonna do”.

I am pretty happy with my first days achievement and will update you in a few days time to see if I am controlling my mind, making use of the e-cigarette and most importantly not smoking.
