How Old Do You Have To Be To Buy Nicotine Patches?

I live in New York and my friend started smoking a few months ago. His birthday is coming up and I want to get him either nicotine gum or nicotine patches. He plays football and runs track with me. He won’t quit smoking weed or cigarettes for either of them. I am motivated to do this, I don’t care how long it’ll take.

You need to be at least 18 years of age to buy any products that contain nicotine

Eighteen, or you can get a prescription. But it’s not like you’re going to get carded or anything, if you don’t look like you’re six you probably won’t have a problem. Try a supermarket, the checkout clerks won’t even know there’s an age limit. Or order them online. Make sure you know how much/how often he smokes and get the strength recommended by the MFR, if they’re too strong they’ll make him sick or make his habit worse.

If you get them, how are you going to get him to wear them?
I mean, you are motivated, but he isn’t….I don’t get it…
But you do have to be 18 to buy them.
