Possible big part of life in the future? Of course there could be tax on the nicotine of governments were so worried about losing tobacco tax.

In the future will e-cigarettes bring back the pre late 1960s world of everyone smoking?

Tobacco is the only recreational drug that kills you without even getting you high first. For that reason, I can’t see it regaining it’s former popularity. Even if it’s made safe, it’s pointless.
Not really. In fact, that website looks exactly like the “world of the future” portrayed in the early 1960s, where everyone still wore hats and smoked, and women were still at the kitchen sink, but there were gadgets everywhere. What they failed to take account of were social changes.
Don’t forget a significant proportion of people are brought up in non smoking houses now, they have non smoking friends and they are non smokers when they reach adulthood. And their numbers are growing all the time. Where, exactly, is the social impetus to stick one of these things in their mouth?
Hmmmm…interesting. Something to look into.
I’d smoke one. And what would be the problem if it isn’t giving off harmful second hand carcinogens? Why would non-smokers complain unless they are anal retentive assholes who just dont want anyone to be happy because they cant be?
It’s not in his dreams…it’s a reality. It’s not pointless either because the fact is that existing smokers (and there are billions) LIKE to smoke, they just wish it weren’t as dangerous, now they have an alternative.
The e-cigarette is a great alternative because it allows smokers to have the “experience” of smoking a cigarette, but with less nicotine, no tar, and none of the smell and icky butts left over. Some people are using them to quit smoking but even if someone has no intention on quitting, it’s a much better, healthier (for them, the people around them and the environment in general) alternative. Popularity of them is growing RAPIDLY and I think you’ll see it explode soon.
