I haven’t had one today yet, but would really enjoy…. Thought I had a doctor’s appointment this morning but made a mistake, it’s this afternoon. Didn’t have one earlier cos I thought she might smell it and not be impressed (But I do want to give up and they are not agreeing with me at all at present). Friends coming to visit at weekend who are non-smokers, so it would be easier to have quit. Have quit so many times, read Alan Carr, did smoking cessation …..
Should I quit smoking today or wait until after the weekend?

you’ve got a headstart today, stick at it, not getting the urge to smoke doesnt happen everyday, when you got that sort of control over it, it’s time to snap those sticks in half and flush them. stick with not smoking now, dont start aand then plan to quite later!
No time like the present
and seeing as you havent had any today, just keep going
good luck
better quitting now, what your doing is typical human behaviour, delaying. by saying should i wait til next week thats you delaying, better starting right away.
good luck
Now or never eh….
in theory that sounds brilliant, but you know as well as i do from one smoker to another that if you have to ask if you should quit today you dont want to and your not gonna.
if you really really really want to stop only you and you alone can do it,
hope your stronger than me lol, good luck!
Quit right now. so you can say since 11/06/2009 12:10 you don’t smoke anymore…
Wait until Monday – you might get hit by a bus.
Never Quit
Today!! Manana becomes manana tomorrow if that makes sense.
One of several sayings I detest is “take it a day at a time” but it seems to work for smokers I hear from. Get through today, then hold back for your friends over the weekend and repeat ad infinitum from Monday! Have you tried patches? They seem to help those who aren’t ready to give up cold turkey.
Get some gum (not milseain), carrots – anything to keep the hands and jaws busy for all the time normally spent fiddling with the fags and best of luck.
Take a couple of puffs, then crush it out. It’s easier than you think. Good luck.
I quit smoking last Saturday. Finally got sick and tired of the coughing, plus when I coughed, that made me pee my pants. Plus I also have COPD, so it is a plus for me all way around. I am a 67y/o great grandma and who is still in the dating scene, and I find most men do not or are not attracted to women who smoke, especially the good looking men don’t…….lol
I told myself many times over the years that I would stop smoking, start a diet etc.on Monday. Mondays came and went and nothing changed. The best time to stop is now, don’t wait until Mondays that never happen.
